I am a Business and Social Entrepreneurship major at Rollins College.
My academic and professional focus is on business, real estate, and social entrepreneurship. Through Rollins College, I have gained a liberal arts education in business and scholarly studies in medical communication, medicine and culture, human genetics and multiple communication disciplines. Extracurricular interests include history, art, culture studies and language studies. I have also enjoyed participating in children's charities and volunteer work.
Notable Achievements
Through Sitters on Park, Children’s Philanthropies and Independent work I have extensive childcare experience. I have cared for children in age ranges of 2 months-12 years old.
I enjoy early childhood development and have learned the best ways to care for a child. I have mentored and tutored children as well. As a sitter, I have incorporated brain development exercises, reading, and classical music into my childcare. I excel in timing naps, feedings, changing schedules, and any other important work a child might need. Most importantly I work to always communicate with the parents by giving them updates and information on daily activities and scheduling.
Closing Statement
When it comes to caring for children, my biggest priority is that a child should feel happy, comfortable and safe. I do work to make sure that a child gets what they need to stay healthy, happy and safe. When possible I try to incorporate the study of brain development it into my childcare as much as possible.I know the importance of developmental activities of brain development and learning, language stimulation and motor skills.

Hi, I'm Danielle and live in Arlington, VA. I am a program coordinator for an educational leadership company in Tyson's Corner and I have traveled around the country to educate youth of all ages. I was a classroom teacher (kindergarten and elementary school) and miss the student interaction. I graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Master’s in Business Administration and have been living in the DC Metro area for over a year now. I love to baby-sit children of all ages. I started baby-sitting in middle school and recently managed the nursery for the Capital Life Church in Arlington. I am particularly good with infants and toddlers but have experience working with all age groups. I was a professional ballet dancer and love to stay active while encouraging children to maintain an active lifestyle as well. I love working with children and helping them learn and discover new things. I look forward to meeting you and your family!

Hi! My name is Desiree and I am a first-generation student to college and first-year student at George Washington University. I am in the Columbian School of Arts and Science, but have not figured out what major I would like to pursue in college, though I am interested in topics that pertain to social justice like race, class, gender and ethnic studies. I love to volunteer in my local community (currently volunteering at a middle school in DC), I love to dance when I get the chance to, and my favorite Disney princess is Merida from the Disney Movie “Brave.” I am originally from Berkeley, California where I attended Berkeley High School and come from a big Mexican family. Because I am the oldest of seven children and have cared for most of my siblings throughout my life, I have always had a natural “motherly” personality, whether that is changing diapers, giving baths, feeding and picking up and dropping off from school, or playing tag outside. Many have often told me I hold a sense of innocence in my attitude and I’d say I owe it to all the kids I have worked with. They have taught me to simply smile and never take life too seriously, since no matter the age we are always growing.
