Hi! My name is Lindsey and my family and I just moved to the Charlottesville area in January of 2013. We LOVE it here so far - the mountains are beautiful! My husband just got out of the military(USMC) and works for the phone company. We have a 3.5 year old son and a 1.5 year old daughter and they are the light of our lives! I'm currently a full time SAHM, but I'm also a personal trainer/group exercise instructor certified through the American Council of Exercise and sometimes do independent contracting work as well as work at a stable on the weekends. My hobbies include reading, movies, sports, travel, fitness and hangin' out with my kids seeing what we can get into! I've babysat since I was a teenager for friends, family members, neighbors and I was also a part time nanny for my sisters for about a year before starting a family of my own. I'm comfortable with kids anywhere from newborns to preteens and am fine with light housework or cooking as well as helping with homework(if I'm able).

I'm a second grade teacher who absolutely loves working with children! When I'm not teaching, I can be found traveling to Pittsburgh to hang out with my 6 nieces and nephews (I'm a super proud auntie), drinking coffee, going on hikes, and visiting local restaurants. I have experience caring for babies and children of all ages, and would love the opportunity to care for your family. I've lived in Charlottesville for 9 years and have grown to love this community I now call home!

I remember the first time I left my child with a sitter who was not a family member, and it wasn’t easy. It can be really stressful and hard. As a mother of two children, 3 and 5 years old, I am extremely experienced in childcare. My newborns have helped perfect my swaddling and rocking skills, as well making me an expert in proper bottle preparation. I have also received my flu shot and whooping cough vaccine ensuring I am keeping your little one as safe as possible. My daughter is three years old, and although she is a sweet girl, she is no stranger to the daily struggle most toddlers are known for ie: nap refusal, tantrums, and food issues. I have the ability to stay grounded and loving during even the worst tantrums. This allows the parent to leave their child with peace of mind that he and /or she is with someone you can trust. I can handle even the most spirited toddler. I promise to keep your child safe and happy in your absence.

HI, I'm RaeShar! I'm from Louisa,Va which is a small county town not far from Charlottesville, Va. I grew up in a fairly large, close knit family. Since my family was family was rather large, we depended on each other for many things, including childcare. I first began babysitting my cousins when I was about 12 years old. Being fairly young and having to look after another person really taught me how to be responsible. Currently, I attend Old Dominion University. I am a sophomore majoring in Psychology and minoring in Human Services. When I first came to Old Dominion University my goal was to graduate with a B.S. in psychology, become a social worker for a few years and then after more schooling, become a child psychologist. Now after taking a few psychology classes, instead of being a social worker, I would like to enter some profession that requires me to work with mental disabled children. Growing up I always knew that I wanted to work with children. Rather it was being a teacher, pediatrician, or daycare owner, I knew I wanted to make a living while being around children. Now that I am older, I have come to the conclusion that not only do I want to work with children but I want to help children; I want to make an impact on their lives. I believe that child are our future and I want to be able to help these children make their and our futures wonderful!
